Description
William and Donna were born on the same day and in the same hospital, but they couldn't be more different. Will grew up in an affluent suburb and struggles to balance what he wants with what will keep his overbearing mother happy. Donna had a difficult childhood—she was raised by her older sister. She often wonders what her life would be like without her troubled mother around.
Throughout their young lives, Will and Donna almost meet many times but it seems fate is keeping them apart. But then everything changes when tragedy strikes them both. As Will tries to come to terms with a life-shattering event, he decides to travel the world in the hope of finding happiness. Donna, feeling alone in the world, makes plans to leave Dublin to follow a dream she never thought she could achieve.
More than 10,000 miles away from their homes, fate finally allows them to meet, until a terrible disaster tears them apart once again. They're left with the memory of the brief time they had together and the dreams of what might have been. Perhaps fate can give them one more chance.

Reviews
"A Love Like This had me rooting for (and swooning over) a love that had the tenacity to hold on across time, continents, and heartache. Sweet, tender, and beautiful, Duffy's novel is one to savor with your book club and then recommend to friends for years to come." —Kimberly Stuart, author of Heart Land and Sugar: A Novel
"Funny, moving, and thoughtful. Maria Duffy has excelled herself with this novel!"—Womans Way
"So fun! A Love Like This is a wonderfully romantic jaunt that zips us from Ireland to Australia and New Zealand then back to the Emerald Isle again as fate does its best to help Will and Donna find each other—and true love in the process. Anyone smitten with stories set in Ireland or who is still mourning the loss of Maeve Binchy should make this book their next read." —Ev Bishop, author of the River’s Sigh B & B series
“A heartwarming, sliding doors story of dreams and destiny. I adored it.” —Alison Kent, author of The Second Chance Cafe
"A touch of mystery and some beautifully rendered explorations of human connection ensure that this will be a thoughtful, though repetitive, experience for readers." —Publisher's Weekly
